Jeanette Niven was born in Regina, SK, on July 31st, 1939. Jeanette
was a very educated individual, from her schooling in Minitonas,
MB, to the education she received at the Victoria General Hospital
School of Nursing in Winnipeg, MB, and her time spent at McGill
University in Montreal, Que. Jeanette began nursing in 1960 in Winnipeg
but her profession allowed her to nurse in other cities as well.
Jeanette lived and nursed in Vancouver, BC, Montreal, Que, Portage
La Prairie, MB and Morris, MB. Jeanette spent 25 years as head nurse
of the Neuro-Surgical Ward at the St. Boniface General Hospital.
Jeanette retired November, 1993. Jeanette enjoyed her hobbies which
included golfing, hiking, swimming, travelling and playing cards.
