Cliff was born January 28, 1927 and raised in the Boggy Creek area.
He joined the Navy at the age of 18 and spent the next 20 years
stationed in Halifax and Ottawa and travelling the world.
He married Betty Schooley of Bowsman, Manitoba in 1949 and together
they had 3 children. Cliff moved his family to Bowsman in 1965 where
he worked for the Village for 7 years. He then bought an operated
King Loin Laundromat in Swan River until his retirement in 1987.
Cliff is survived by his wife Betty; son, Bob (Sharon); daughter,
Linda (Doug) Nickerson; grandchildren, Trent (Melissa) Nolen, Melanie
(Mark) Nessleback, Lindsay (Ray) Smidstrup, Logan McNevin, Meagan
Nolen, Geoff (Sandra) Nickerson, Trevor (Mimi) Nickerson and Kyla
Nickerson; great grandchildren, Cameron, Jordan, Spencer, Jesslyn
and Tyler; and daughter-in-law Cheryl Nolen. He is also survived
by sisters, Thelma Hickman, Fay (Vearn) Ashton and sister-in-law
Chrissy Nowlin.
