Hillsview Pastoral Charge
Frank Stanley Rosteski

The seeds of Frank's earthly life have been sown and in the time he spent with us some of those seeds have grown. We think of some of these and the impact these have on our lives.

We think of home and the importance Frank placed on home - home being the early years - a child who had 11 siblings, mom and dad, his birth family would remain important to him through the years.

And then home, the home he and Eunice created for almost 60 years - and the warmth of this home and the children who became a part of this home: Les, Sharon, Morley, Denise and Rhonda.

Home was land as well and being rooted. Farming ran deep in his blood. It was not a business or a way of life. It was life! Frank respected the earth and was a good steward. And through commitment to the National Farmers' Union he sought to improve the quality of life for farmers.

Frank sewed seeds of friendship and neighborliness. He well understood and promoted the importance of community. He and Eunice supported, worked at, and attended many events in the community. He did his part, - pulled his weight.

Frank sewed many seeds of concern and kindness as he lived in community. These grew and they produced a harvest, they contribute to the Kingdom of God.

"Heaven" and the "Kingdom of God" can elude us if we do not have eyes to see and ears to hear. Heaven grows, here and now on this earth, with qualities of love and mercy, kindness, concern that are lived in those with whom we share this life. Heaven, God's Kingdom grows as we live and sow seeds that are Divine, that are of God.

Through Frank - through his person and life work - heaven has come a little closer - we have caught glimpses of the goodness, and love, and mercy of the God who created him.
