As we gather to honor and celebrate life we re-call, we seek to name the life. Today we remember that Brent was born on January 27, 1912 in Minitonas. He grew up here and on November 18, 1936 he married Alice Hart. Then in 1943 they moved to Winnipeg where Brent worked for the Canadian Pacific Railways and they raised their family of daughter, Arlene. Upon retirement in 1976 they returned to Minitonas to be near family and to be in this Valley that they always called home.

With declining health Brent moved to the Personal Care Home in September of 2005 where he was residing at the time of his death.

We knew Brent as a family member, as a dedicated worker, as one who spoke few words but who was at peace with himself and the world around him. He loved watching baseball, playing cards and checkers, berry picking, tinkering with engines. He curled with the seniors until he was 90.
